Paris me voilà!

Wow! Life definitely happend over the last two weeks. I've got happy clients, happy commissioned artists, happy retailers and yes...a happy family.

Yesterday was the first day in weeks that I was able to clean, organize and enjoy lunch with my favorite people. I even took time to pluck some beautiful blooms from the garden. And here I am. Ahhhh...I've missed you baby blog.

Now people...you'll have to bear with me for the next few weeks. I know I've been blogging about decorating but I'm switchin' gears for a little while...

TODAY I LEAVE FOR EUROPE!
WOO HOO! YEE HAW! WOOT! WOOT!

My sister and sis in law have been packed for a week. Me? I had to clean the house, get groceries for the kiddos, make schedules for everyone, pay the bills....THEN, I was able to start packing.

We've decided to just take a carry on bag so we wouldn't have to check luggage and we could make sure we have enough room for four friends - my cousin in joining us in Germany - AND all their luggage in a mid size family car as we drive randomly around Europe eating bread and drinking wine. (OH!!!! I am SO looking forward to this!!!!)That picture is of all the things I WANT to take and somehow WILL find a way to get them all in my carry on suitcase. I have a few buttons to sew on, hems to shorten (because of course dresses have to be shorter while in Paris!).

I have to mention that ALL OF US wear a size 10 shoe!
Can you believe it?!
We each bring two and we have 12 to choose from!
Uber Bliss!

I'm hoping that I'll be able to find cyber cafe's everywhere I go so I'll be able to blog and share all the photos of what we girls will be up to. I know I'll be posting family photos from the home place over the next few days - I'll apologize right now for all the schnapp's, beer and food you'll see in the photos - it's a given - we're German!

What am I most looking forward to? Well...it will be uber awesome to see family. This will be the first time my parents and my sister and I have been to the home place at the same time. I'm sad my brother couldn't be there, too, but his wife will be way more fun to drink wine with! Sorry Bro! ;)

But...I have to be honest and say that a week in a Paris apartment, exploring the antique and flea markets is what I am looking forward to the most! OMG! Uber Uber Uber Awesome!

Years ago, I tore a page out of Oprah! magazine telling about the Global Greeters Network - a free friend for a day service in major cities throughout the world. I have been connected with a greeter who specializing in the markets of Paris! Can't wait to see what UBER BLISS that brings to my life!!

Well, I'm off to finish the packing, the cleaning, the organizing - why do we women feel such a need for everything to be clean and put away before we go on vacation????

Sie sehen in Deutschland!
Sie sehen in Belgien!
Rendez-vous à Paris! Je vais écrire bientôt! (Wish I knew how to really speak French!)
